About Me

I provide individual counseling for adults through a HIPAA compliant telehealth site.  I also conduct workshops and groups.  I am paneled with most major insurances including but not limited to:  Florida Blue, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna and accept self-pay clients as well.

I have a passion for working with others to help others realize their goals and maximize their potential by empowering them with tools to navigate life.  I enjoy working with people who want to be empowered and make changes in their lives.

My interests are nature, photography, my children and pets, reading, writing, movies, Agri therapy, and creating a sense of community.

I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Behavior Modification and Cognitive Behavior.  I continued my studies at the University of Florida graduated with  a Master’s of Health Science in Rehabilitation Counseling with an emphasis on mental health counseling.

My work history (or path):  I started my career working in community mental health settings in the 1990’s.  I branched out to work as a vocational counselor in the 2000’s in addition to continue to work in the mental health field providing counseling services in both the private and public sector.  Today my focus is providing individual counseling, workshops and trainings, and group for adults.

My approach is holistic. I consider all aspects of a person, including their physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, in addition to focusing on symptoms and how they are interconnected and interrelated.  I utilize solution focused therapeutic approaches to guide individuals through introspection to develop awareness and cultivate positive emotions and outcomes.

Through greater self-awareness individuals learn to understand their own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to create enhanced emotional regulation and resilience and to foster an environment for positive  change.
